Sunday Short Ribs Recipe with Globally Inspired Flavors

This is an easy, elevated recipe for short ribs made with Mesa de Vida's globally inspired cooking sauces. Bring an amazing Sunday dinner to the table that you'll be proud of!

Makes 4-6 servings.

Ingredients

  • 2 lb bone-in beef or pork short ribs
  • 1 bottle Mesa de Vida Globally Inspired Cooking Sauce - Creole, Latin, Mediterranean or Moroccan flavor
  • 2 cups vegetables of your choice (sliced onion, diced carrot, celery, bell pepper, mushrooms; dried prunes go great with the Latin, Moroccan or Mediterranean flavor; dried apricots go great with the Moroccan flavor)
  • Salt to taste/health needs
  • Optional addition: 1/4 cup red or white wine

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  2. Season meat with salt and pepper to taste
  3. In a large oven-proof Dutch Oven or skillet with high sides, heat pan over medium-high heat. Sear meat on all sides until golden brown
  4. Optional if using wine: add wine to the skillet, cook 30 seconds
  5. Add remaining ingredients, stir to combine, transfer pot or skillet to the oven
  6. Bake for 45-60 minutes, until the meat is tender and fully cooked
