Mesa de Vida 101 - Slow Cooker Basics Recipe Template

Ingredients

  • 1 lb of protein (boneless chicken breast or thighs, whole pork tenderloin, sausages, ground meat, or plant-based protein), or 2 cups cooked beans, or 2 lb bone-in protein cuts (bone-in chicken portions, short ribs, pork ribs, chuck roast, pork chops, etc.)
  • 2 cups diced or cubed vegetables of your choice (onions, tomatoes, bell pepper, eggplant, sweet potato, zucchini, dried fruit)
  • 1 bottle Mesa de Vida Globally Inspired Cooking Sauce of your choice
  • Salt to taste/health needs
  • Optional: 15 oz can of diced tomatoes, and/or 1-2 cups of broth or wine for soups, stews, or if more sauce is desired

Directions

  1. Sear protein if desired. Add ingredients to the slow cooker, stir to combine
  2. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, 4 hours for diced meats/vegetarian recipes
