Mesa de Vida tinned fish recipe

Mediterranean Tinned Fish Pasta Recipe

If you like aglio e olio (garlic and olive oil) pasta and tinned fish like sardines and anchovies, we hope you'll give this a try!

Makes 4-6 servings.

This is elevated, gourmet pantry recipe is an absolute flavor and umami bomb. It comes together in around 20 minutes and couldn't be easier to make.

Tinned anchovies and sardines, garlic, olive oil and Mesa de Vida's Mediterranean inspired starter sauce melt together over low heat while the pasta cooks.

The fish melts into the Mesa de Vida sauce (packed with concentrated tomatoes, carrots, celery, roasted red bell pepper, Kalamata olives, capers, basil, oregano and red wine vinegar), making it quick work to create such an incredible pasta dish.

The sauce is dairy-free, but it tastes like you put loads of fresh grated Parmigiana in the sauce - it's THAT rich and umami-licious.

(This sauce is punchy - our Mediterranean sauce has a little kick from red pepper flakes!)

Hope you love it!

  • 4-8 fresh cloves of garlic, minced or thinly sliced
  • 1 tin of anchovies in olive oil
  • 1 tin of sardines in olive oil
  • 1 bottle Mesa de Vida Mediterranean Inspired Cooking Sauce
  • 12 oz pasta (any shape you like)

  2. Meanwhile, get a large pot of water on to boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in lightly salted water.
  3. Meanwhile, as soon as the sauce comes to a simmer lower the heat to low. Continue mashing and stirring the sauce as the pasta cooks.
  4. Add the pasta and 1/4-1/2 cup of the cooking water to the sauce. Toss to coat. Add additional pasta cooking water if you would like the sauce a bit thinner.
  5. Serve and enjoy!
