1 1/2lbpork country style ribsor use any pork roast on the bone that you like. You could use pork tenderloin (not quite as flavorful, but it will work), but only cook for 4-6 hours as it will dry out much faster.
1jarMesa de Vida Smoky Latin Cooking & Seasoning Sauce
3fresh or driedbay leaves
1canhominy (About 3-4 cups) rinsed and drained
4cupshigh quality broth of your choice
Salt and hot sauce to taste
For serving: lime wedges, thinly sliced cabbage, additional dried oregano if you like, fresh cilantro, tortilla chips or tortillas
Place everything into the slow cooker, stir to combine. Cook on low for 6-8 hours. Shred the pork and mix into the soup. Remove any bones before serving. Serve with additional toppings of your choice and enjoy!
