Mediterranean Slow Cooker Beef Stew Recipe

Servings 4 servings


  • 1 1/2-2 lb beef stew meat Cubed beef chuck, tri tip, and sirloin roast work well for this long, slow braise
  • 1 jar Mesa de Vida Mediterranean cooking and seasoning sauce Try this beef stew with any of our healthy global gourmet cooking sauces for a new flavor!
  • 4-6 carrots cut into 2-3" pieces
  • 4-6 potatoes cut into 2-3" pieces. Yukon Gold or red potatoes work best, but any potato will work
  • 4-6 stalks celery cut into 2-3" pieces
  • 2 cups broth
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish


  • Optional step: Brown beef on all sides until golden brown.
  • Place all ingredients into the slow cooker, stir to combine. Cook on low 4-6 hours. If you want to cook this for longer, simply use larger pieces of meat, or turn to "keep warm" after 6 hours.
  • Optional step: If you prefer your stew with a very thick gravy, mash together 1 Tb butter and 1 Tb flour and whisk into the stew with 1 additional cup of broth. Cook on low for 15 more minutes.
